SIMTRAIN™ – Amiodarone

Description

Treatment with Amiodarone should be initiated and monitored exclusively under hospital or specialist supervision. It is indicated solely for the management of severe rhythm disorders that are unresponsive to other therapies or when alternative treatments are not suitable. Specific indications include:

• Tachyarrhythmias associated with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
• Various tachyarrhythmias such as supraventricular, nodal, and ventricular tachycardias; atrial flutter and fibrillation; ventricular fibrillation, particularly when other medications cannot be used

Amiodarone is also appropriate when a rapid response is necessary or when oral administration is not feasible.
