Description

The Advantage® Pressure Bar

Ultra-small for ease of storage in the smallest of kits

The Advantage® Pressure Bar is an FDA-listed, CE-declared, Class I non-sterile medical device designed to provide hands-free, targeted haemorrhage control. Compact yet powerful, it allows responders to apply precise point pressure to a wound without manually holding it, freeing their hands for other life-saving interventions.

Engineered for both prehospital and tactical environments, the Advantage Pressure Bar is ideal for emergency responders, military medics, and first responders. Its versatile design includes a pressure bar and large pressure head attachments, allowing for multi-site and proximal haemorrhage management while maintaining compact storage.

The device is fully compatible with all CoTCCC-recommended tourniquets, wraps, and non-pressure bandages, seamlessly integrating with existing haemorrhage control protocols. Additionally, it supports tourniquet conversion, reducing the risk of re-bleeding or constriction-related injuries by maintaining consistent, localized pressure at the wound site.

Featuring Popp Point Pressure Device (P3D) patented technology, the Advantage Pressure Bar fills critical gaps for both medical and non-medical responders, enhancing field equipment and delivering a more effective, safer bleeding management solution.

Why Point Pressure Matters

Unlike constrictive devices that compress entire limbs, point pressure targets only the bleeding site, offering distinct clinical advantages:

  • Maintain Perfusion – Allows blood flow from non-targeted vessels, keeping tissue healthy.

  • Reduce Pain & Venous Engorgement – Less discomfort for patients compared to full-limb constriction.

  • Minimise Ischemic Risk – Prevents distal ischemia and reduces risk of tissue damage.

  • Avoid Compartment Syndrome – Focused pressure prevents dangerous build-up of pressure in muscle compartments.
